Instituto Ling

We accompanied the Bahian visual artist Marcos da Matta over the course of a week, during the creative process of his intervention on one of the walls of Instituto Ling. The work is part of the "Ling Presentes" project, this year curated by Bitu Cassundé, and provides an immersion in the landscape of the June festivities of the Recôncavo Bahiano. Through a figurative and realistic approach, also articulated around a strong thinking of color as a language, da Matta brings into dialogue personal affections and the dynamics of informal street work to talk about life, survival, work, self-representation and territory.
