CAIO AMON
DIRECTOR AND COMPOSER
Caio Amon is an audiovisual director, composer, and music producer with a unique career spanning over two decades dedicated to artistic creation at the intersection of music and image. His work spans Brazil and abroad, always focusing on projects related to music, art, and culture.
He holds a Master's degree in Musical Composition from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), with research focused on multimedia interactions between music and audiovisual media. Prior to that, he studied Composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the Netherlands, with mentors such as Wim Henderickx, Joël Bons, and Brian Ferneyhough. In Los Angeles, he completed the recording program at the Musicians Institute of Technology on a full scholarship. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from PUCRS, where he graduated summa cum laude with a thesis on Hegel's musical aesthetics.
He founded the production company EROICA_conteúdo in 2012, specializing in the production of audiovisual, graphic, and digital content for the cultural sector. With a portfolio that includes documentaries, music videos, dance videos, and artistic shorts, EROICA has collaborated with renowned festivals, institutions, and artists—such as Marc Bourdeau, Fernando Cordella, João Bosco, Vik Muniz, Dudi Maia Rosa, Geoff Emerick, and others.
Since 2022, Caio has also been one of the founders and communications director of Bach Society Brasil, the only Bach society in the country. There, he leads digital communications, directs online concerts, and produces high-profile videos, keeping the work of Johann Sebastian Bach alive through integrated visual and musical creations.
As a composer and music producer, his work spans a variety of genres: film scores (A Nuvem Rosa, Despedida, Animal Invisível), short films (NAU, Vento), dance performances (Peixes, Habitantes d'Ela, Cross-cap), theater plays (Imobilhados, 2068, Expresso Paraíso), visual arts projects (Antes do Azul, Safira), and interactive experiences (Tinta & Fogo, Aleijadinho). He also works as a sound designer and producer of concerts and cross-media projects, having collaborated with institutions such as the Amsterdam Fine Arts Academy, the Dutch Film and Television Academy, and the Hollandse Opera.
Between 2008 and 2012, he worked as assistant artistic director at the Nieuw Ensemble and the Atlas Academy in Amsterdam, organizing intercultural music festivals and directing audiovisual content for contemporary music projects. He also served as assistant conductor for academic and community choirs and led sound and image workshops at FLUXO – Escola de Fotografia Expandida.
His work has been recognized at over 60 festivals and awards shows. He has received recognition at events such as the Gramado Film Festival (Vento), Sundance (A Nuvem Rosa), Clermont Ferrand, Outfest, and the Berlin Film Festival, in addition to winning music video awards at the Europe Music Video Awards, Milan Independent Awards, and the Golden Short Film Festival. In theater and dance, he has received the Açorianos Award and the Braskem Theater Award, among others.
With a career built on the convergence of languages, Caio Amon stands out for the originality with which he translates music into image and image into sensory experience. His projects are, above all, creations that celebrate art—in its most complex, poetic, and contemporary forms.

MARCELO FREIRE
GRAPHIC DESIGN, FILMING, VIDEO EDITING
Audiovisual director and graduate in Social Communication from UFRGS, he is a general production assistant at EROICA, working on multiple fronts and stages of each project.
He began his work with video in 2015, since then weaving an audiovisual and transdisciplinary communication trajectory that includes science and education (UNASUS-UFCSPA project, Family and Community Medicine), by movements of indigenous and traditional peoples (Kaingang Konhún Mag ), for culture and visual arts (Ateliê da Laje Zé Darci) and for cultural production and music (Unimúsica project, from the Department of Cultural Diffusion at UFRGS). In EROICA, he finds continuity in this trajectory of intersections, seeking to deepen and expand the possible relationships between video, music, art and culture.
